About us

Nordanå Trä is a specialty sawmill in Alfta, Hälsingland, with a focus on refining environmentally certified forest raw materials into customized wood products. Through long experience, close relationships with suppliers and customers, and continuous investments in production and development, we deliver products with high quality and delivery reliability.

Our operations include sawn timber, pulp raw materials and energy raw materials. The goal is to exploit the full potential of the raw material and create both economically and environmentally sustainable values.

The sawmill produces over 70,000 cubic meters of sawn timber each year. The raw material comes from local suppliers in Hälsingland, one of Sweden's leading areas for forest raw materials. Many of our suppliers have worked with us for decades, ensuring stable quality and reliable deliveries.

We mainly use saw logs, so-called Nordanå logs, which we ourselves introduced to the regional timber market.

Quality and delivery reliability are central to our operations. Through close collaboration with our customers, we develop products that meet specific needs and market demands. Product development takes place continuously together with our customers to create solutions that provide long-term value.

We are also actively working to develop new uses for by-products such as wood chips and shavings. The goal is to maximize the use of the raw material while contributing to more resource-efficient and sustainable forestry.
